Our stunning Ne'Qwa ornament,
Sunrise, features the original fantasy art by artist Thomas Kinkade, the painter of light. A cross, at the top of a rocky mountain outcrop, is spotlighted by the sun rising in the background. A bank of clouds behind the cross gorgeously reflect the rays of the sunrise. This ornament was introduced in 2012 and is now retired. The Thomas Kinkade art has been reverse hand painted on the inside of the mouth blown glass ornament that measures 6.5 inches tall, is in the brilliant shape and comes beautifully packaged in a hand crafted, satin lined, velour presentation case that includes the Certificate of Authenticity. The gift box is then enclosed in the Ne'Qwa Art signature protective box.
NeQwa Art is the largest producer of the centuries old tradition of painting on the inside of glass. The same meticulous techniques that captivated emperors and art connoisseurs ages ago are used to create each of their decorative accessories. From outlining to shading to color application, all work is painstakingly done in freehand. Known in the Mandarin language as Ne'Qwa, the artistic tradition of reverse painting on the inside of glass flourished during the 17th century, when snuff bottles were valued fashion accessories in China.
