Artist, G. DeBrekht, created the original fantasy art,
Sleigh Ride, of a charming Victorian scene that has been reverse hand painted inside a limited edition mouth blown glass Ne'Qwa ornament. The sleigh ride with mother, daughter and son in a horse drawn sleigh ride through the snow on a chilly wintry day. The collectible ornament measures 6.75 inches tall, is in the princess shape and comes beautifully packaged in a hand crafted, satin lined, leather presentation case. The Certificate of Authenticity is in the gift box that is also enclosed in the Ne'Qwa Art signature protective box. This ornament is now retired but still available to own for a limited time.
NeQwa Art is the largest producer of the centuries old tradition of painting on the inside of glass. The same meticulous techniques that captivated emperors and art connoisseurs ages ago are used to create each of their decorative accessories. From outlining to shading to color application, all work is painstakingly done in freehand. Known in the Mandarin language as Ne'Qwa, the artistic tradition of reverse painting on the inside of glass flourished during the 17th century, when snuff bottles were valued fashion accessories in China.
